WHAT IS (RE)SOLV?

Dedicated to helping people lose weight, Dr. Haynes formulated (re)Solv initially for his own weight loss clients.  Now available to everyone, (re)Solv is made up of a special formula of 5-HTP, Magnesium, and Vitamin B6.

5-HTP is the key building block required by the body to make serotonin and melatonin. But if your levels of magnesium and vitamin B-6 are low, all the 5-HTP in the world won’t help. By taking all three of the elements together, in the right balance, it ensures that your body is able to synthesize all of the serotonin and melatonin it needs.

SEROTONIN

Serotonin is responsible for mood, appetite, and sleep. At certain times during the day our serotonin levels naturally drop, which creates food cravings as the body tries to get more 5-HTP.

MELATONIN

Melatonin is the hormone that is responsible for sleep. In the evening sleep is induced when your serotonin is converted into melatonin.

THE SCIENCE BIT

5-HTP is the activated form of the amino acid tryptophan (the amino acid that’s in turkey that people talk about). 5-HTP is the “runt” of all the amino acids and its levels are very susceptible to being low.

Magnesium is an essential mineral and is required for life. According to the U.S. Department of Health and Human Services and the National Academy of Sciences the majority of Americans are deficient.

Vitamin B-6 is an essential vitamin that is required for 100’s of different reactions in the body. B-6 is important for maintaining healthy brain function, the formation of red blood cells, keeping blood sugar within normal ranges, the metabolism of protein, and the synthesis of antibodies in support of the immune system.

There are several conditions known to cause deficiencies in your levels of 5-HTP, magnesium, and B-6 and result in low levels of serotonin and melatonin.
