What brought you to One Life?

I gained 60 pounds with my 2nd pregnancy and I could not drop the last 20 pounds that I needed to lose from the baby weight. I heard about One Life from a friend and decided to check out the website and make an appointment.

 

How much weight did you lose?

I started at 150 pounds and within 2 months I had lost over 23 pounds and was 127 pounds.

 

Have you kept the weight off?

I still come in to take advantage of the maintenance program. I come in about every 3 weeks for maintenance. I was tired of feeling like I had to starve to lose weight. I wanted to look good but I wanted to do it in a healthy way. I have never been overweight, but I would always be thin using the wrong tools to get there. I was terrified that I could not stay thin and do it in a healthy way. That is when I found One Life. I am in complete gratitude. One Life has enabled me to eat all throughout the day and give me the tools to make healthy choices and maintain my weight loss. One Life gives me control and power.

 

Any tips or tricks that helped you stick to the program and lose the weight?

I was very strict and stuck to the plan Dr. Haynes gave me. There was no cheating. The weekly appointments are key and keep you accountable. You also have to be ready and want it - and I wanted it! I feel so good now. I eat all throughout the day and know that if I stick to 22 blocks, I will not gain my weight back and I will stay full. The great thing is that you can customize what you eat. In the morning I eat 8 blocks - mainly protein and feel empowered knowing I still have 14 blocks left for the rest of the day. I still write everything down in my food journal - even the small bites of the kid’s food. It is how I maintain control.

 

What has One Life taught you about losing weight?

One life gave me choices and as long as I counted - I could eat all day and still lose weight. No more starving myself to stay thin. They made me understand what choices are good versus bad and took out all of the misconceptions that I once had over certain foods.

 

Has One Life changed the perception of yourself?

Yes! It has changed the perception of myself. I want to be able to set a good example for my daughter and now I can. I now feel so good about myself and I feel good while maintaining control.

 

What would you say to someone thinking about joining One Life?

It is truly different for every single person. You just have to be ready and want it and it will work.
