What brought you to One Life?

I joined with my friend and we were referred by another friend who had lost a lot of weight with One Life. I had done so many other diets in the past and thought if this does not work I am officially giving up and accepting always being 20 pounds over weight.

 

How much weight did you lose?

I hit my goal in just over 3 months, and lost 25 pounds. The first week I lost 6 pounds and the second week I lost 4 pounds, so I was hooked after that. It was really so fun and easy to lose the weight.

 

What made One Life different from the other weight loss places you tried?

The support and one on one approach is amazing. They make you really understand the right foods to eat and learn how to lose weight always eating real foods. It is also not a quick fix. I had done “shakes” prior to One Life where I lost 10lbs and then gained it all right back and was starving the entire time I was drinking the shakes. With One Life, you have to be accountable and have a plan. They help you make that plan and stick to it. The staff are the real deal. I love seeing them every week.

 

What has Dr. Haynes and One Life taught you about losing weight?

The longer you are on the plan and living the lifestyle, your eating habits change and you learn what makes you feel full and satisfied. I do not feel like I am on a diet anymore. I just have different, better habits now. Dr. Haynes also made me so aware of what was sabotaging my success. I used to put olive oil on everything. Now that I count it - I am using it a lot less or not using it at all. I am now aware of where my calories are coming from and choosing my foods carefully. 
I look at things in terms of “this not that” now. I will choose fish over pasta because I want to get the most bang for my buck. Food volume is worth it to me, so I skip the carbs and eat more protein.

 

Any tips or tricks that helped you along the way?

No more cereal! I only eat protein for breakfast now like eggs or a bar. I am also very prepared. Planning meals and being prepared is key. I tend to eat out less now but when I do go out I now know how to order smarter.

 

Any tips or tricks that helped you out along the way to your goal?

Like I said before - planning was key. I also exercised daily - just a little, but enough to earn my extra 2 blocks a day.

 

Has One Life helped change the perception of yourself?

Over the last few months I have finally cleaned out my entire closet and it felt so good. Nothing fits me anymore and it has been so much fun to go shopping again. Everything looks better on when you are thin. I have not weighed this little since I was in Jr. High. One Life has made me feel so good again.

 

What would you say to someone considering joining One Life?

It is a lifestyle change - not a diet. They give you the tools to help you do it and once you lose the weight you don’t stop using those tools, as they will keep you successful permanently. One Life will help you change the way you eat and look at food. It has by far been the easiest way to lose the weight and the most successful. They are the real deal.
